These pins are for all of us BRCA mutants out there. If you or your family has the BRCA 1 or BRCA 2 gene mutation- this pin is for you. Many of us are breast cancer survivors and the others are Previvors. This pin is 1 1/4" tall and is great quality Cloisonne. I learned of my BRCA 2 gene mutation status in 1998. Months later, my sister learned that she carried this gene mutation also. She had a double prophylactic mastectomy in 2007. She also had her ovaries removed. In 2013, I learned that my 20-year-old daughter also carries the gene mutation. With this gene mutation comes a very high risk for cancer.
