Overview
This Karate Girl Pink Ribbon pin is very special to me as I designed it for my amazing friend Edna, a young survivor and 5th degree blackbelt I met many years ago.
Sadly, Edna has finished her fight and is now at peace. She passed away in December of 2011, just after her 40th birthday. Heaven has received an amazing angel to watch over us.
Edna passed away on December 16, 2011.
Rest in peace my friend.

This pink ribbon pin was designed after young breast cancer survivor Edna Mills from Georgia. I met Edna at the Young Survivor Conference years ago and we became good friends. Edna was diagnosed with breast cancer the first time at the age of 30. Sadly, Edna was re-diagnosed with breast cancer a 2nd time in September of 2010 (8 years out from her first diagnosis).
Edna was a 5th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo with the American Taekwondo Association (ATA). She held 8 State Championship titles and had competed for World Champion 5 times, her first time being 6 weeks after completing radiation therapy. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2002 at the age of 30. She underwent surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. Edna passed away on December 16, 2011 . She touched the lives of everyone who was fortunate enough to meet her. I miss my friend.

We love Edna and will miss her greatly. She was always very positive, definitely a fighter, and made us laugh so many times. She would spread joy everywhere she went and we know that her faith never faltered during the "difficult times".
